What is a Cylinder Type Screen?

Wedge wires are curved and welded together to create a cylindrical geometry. This cylindrical wedge wire screen is also known as Johnson screen or well screen.

Cylinder screens manufactured with V-shaped profiles that are precisely welded to cross support bars. Stainless steel with different grades are most preferred material for the manufacturing of cylinder screen.

Principle of Cylinder Screen

Cylindrical screens are operates using the wire gaps between the V-shaded profiles. While the smaller particles can flow through this gap, other residues will remain outside and therefore prevent them from going through between the gaps.

The cylinder screen has different configurations depending on the application and flow direction. This can be outward or inward wedge wire and can change according to the direction of flow.

Manufacturing

V-shaped wires are welded to support rods in a cylindrical shape to manufacture cylinder wedge wire screen. Our products are manufactured with Stainless Steel 304, 304L, 304HC, 316, 316L, 316Ti, 321 or depending on your request for the different types of material with different kinds of surface treatments and coatings.

The quality control department continuously inspects and reports the whole process from receiving to final inspection to verify supplied materials conform to the proper standards, specifications and chemical composition
